Ariel Tunay Jr

Ariel Tunay Jr born in Philippines, June 2000, now living in Swansea, Wales, UK. Travelling back to the past, he began drawing parts of objects from a mythical book, continuously and was very intrigued the way they form unlike today's world. He also recreates his own ideas to form a powerful, indescribable component to express and capture the visual movement of unusual things. He then learned the texture of the colour; the tone, the shading, the after-effects, and the feeling of the universal world, itself. The notion of space and time, the particle of the atoms, the swift of the holy blade, a stroke of the brush, whipping out the paint, letting it go and freely feel towards the vast, white canvas.

In his creative style of art, he includes drawing, painting, sculpting, text-work, mixed media and installation. Ceramics was an amazing mechanism that lets him to expose himself and control the intensity, and the anxiety inside of him. It fabricates the mind that flows within and be freely with it.

At the age of 16, he then studied various structures of the clay; different kinds of techniques to form a vigorous sculpture. Tunay created numerous shapes of sculptures like 'Ancient Ruins, The Last Emperor, 2017', 'Clay Serpent Dragons, 2017', 'Lamentation, 2017' and many more.

At the age of 18, Ariel Tunay Jr entered the great hall of University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). As time passes by, he decided to move onto Poetry because he wants to expand the deeper meaning of each individual words; the translation of its phrases; breaking them apart and making them into one whole world. Poetry is one of his main part of his life because all around the surrounding elements feels like we walked into the vast, fresh air and horses galloping through the open, plain fields. As if stories were hymns of poetry and songs filled with strange words - visualising through his imaginations and the perception becomes into a surrealistic reality.
